Frequently Asked Questions
- Are your dogs AKC registered?
Yes, all the dogs we use for breeding are registered with AKC, therefore their puppies are also AKC registrable. AKC provides our puppies with registration applications giving us the option to give a limited or no breeding rights registration application to the new owner. This is the type of AKC registration application you will receive unless you plan to show your dog. We do not give breeding rights.
- What do you feed your dogs?
We feed Kirkland brand foods and Eukanuba and Wellness treats.
- How do I know when you have puppies available?
You may ask to be put on our mailing list for a birth announcement, or you may check the site for pregnancy and birth news.
- How do I put a deposit on a puppy?
We take deposits on litters in advance to hold the puppy of the sex and color you are interested in. When the litter is born, we take the puppies we have deposits on out of the available count. You do not actually choose your puppy until they are 5 weeks of age, we just take the color and sex out of the available count in the litter.
- After I have put my deposit down, what happens?
You will get an e-mail when the dog (litter) you have your deposit on has come into heat and been bred. At that time, we will have an approximate due date for the puppies birth.
- Will my Pug puppy have special needs?
Yes! Please read any reputable books or the AKC or Pug Dog Club website to get information regarding this breed. They have many needs, please be aware of what your new baby will need.
- Will my puppy be housebroken?
We do our best to encourage both piddle pad and litter box usage. We have a pretty good success rate for the age group. For health reasons we do not recommend taking the puppies outside until after their 2nd vaccination.
- Will the puppy have its first shots ?
Your puppy will have the 1st shots, 3 wormings, and a health check from our vet at birth and 6 weeks. You will receive a printed medical certificate from us of everything that was done.
- Do you have other breeds?
Yes, we have a number of rescue mixed breeds that are our pets also.
- Are all your animals vaccinated and treated for heartworm?
All of our dogs are current on all their vaccines, get monthly heartworm preventative, and Frontline.
