As you can see, we have updated our website. I have been working on it slowly so I apologize if it still appears to be a work in progress. Around here the dogs come first, the website second :).
I have to apologize for the amount of time it is taking me to update the site. I have recently made the mistake of getting a new computer while having newborn puppies : ) ! It has been a bit of a challenge to get my software and files transferred (thanks Microsoft) and working.
We will no longer hold puppies without receiving the deposit as requested. The only exception to this is for referred customers and repeat customers that have cleared it with us beforehand. I am very sorry to have to do this, but I cannot hold puppies while people "decide" if they want it. It is not fair to the people that truly want one.
7/26/19 - We Have Available Puppies. We have 2 black male puppies available from a litter that was born on 7/4. The litter had 5 black males. These puppies would be the 4th and 5th pick at choosing time on 8/10. The pick-up date is 8/24. We vet check, deworm, vaccinate, and microchip. The stud on this litter is PDE rated N/N. The deposit is $300.00 with a balance of $1000.00 due at or before pick-up. Please e-mail if interested.
7/26/19 - We are expecting several litters in August and are taking deposits for our waiting list. We will also be breeding in August for both colors for puppies due to go home in approximately December. We have limited space on our waiting list for this breeding schedule. The deposit for a spot on the waiting list is $300.00.
IT IS EXTREMELY HOT OUTSIDE ! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY CHANCES WITH YOUR PUG. ASSUME THEY ARE ALREADY OVERHEATING AND KEEP THEM INSIDE IN AIR CONDITIONING UNLESS THEY NEED TO BE OUTSIDE TO POTTY. THEY DO NOT NEED TO PLAY OUTSIDE IN THIS HEAT. A CAR RIDE IS ESPECIALLY DIFFICUT IN THIS WEATHER AND SHOULD ONLY BE DONE AS A NECESSITY. OUR PUGS ARE OUTSIDE DURING THE DAY FOR 3-4 MINUTES AT A TIME. WE USE THE TIMER (ALEXA) AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM OUT LONGER THAN THAT EXCEPT FOR VERY EARLY MORNING AND VERY LATE AT NIGHT. REMEMBER THAT THEY GO FROM LOOKING FINE TO HEATSTROKE IN MINUTES ! YOUR CAR SHOULD BE COMPLETELY COOLED BEFORE YOU CONSIDER PUTTING YOUR PUG IN IT, EVEN FOR A “SHORT” TRIP. PLEASE BE CAREFUL, BE OVER CAUTIOUS, KEEP YOUR BELOVED PET AS COOL AND SAFE AS POSSIBLE. IF YOUR PUG SEEMS OVERLY WARM, USE VERY COOL WATER AND A CLOTH TO COOL THEIR BODY, STARTING AT THEIR FACE. GO OVER AND AND OVER THEIR BODY WITH THE REFRESHED (DIP IN COOL WATER REPEATEDLY) CLOTH UNTIL THEY CALM DOWN AND COOL OFF.
7/26/19 - It is with great sadness that I write that I lost my beloved black pug Jak on 4/20/19. He was 13 1/2. I have been devastated by the loss and it overwhelms me just tthis now. It has taken this long just to be able to do so. Many of you that know me will understand as you have always seen my little man by my side. For those of you that I have been slow to answer or overly quick in my response, please understand - although it has gotten easier to deal with his loss I am still lost without him. Rest In Peace my little man.
WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING DEPOSITS FOR OUR FALL/WINTER BREEDING SCHEDULE. PLEASE FILL OUT THE CONTACT/FEEDBACK FORM ON OUR WEBSITE AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU.
Please keep in mind that dogs are living creatures. We base the breeding schedule on the date they are due to cycle back into heat and on the plan that they breed and deliver puppies successfully. As live creatures we have the possibility of a pregnancy not occuring, losing puppies, or losing our mother and puppies. If a problem such as this happens then you will be transferred to the next available litter.
We utilize genetic testing for PDE in our breeding dogs.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOUR PUG MAY WANT TO STAY OUT WHEN IT IS VERY COLD BUT THEY CANNOT EFFECTIVELY WARM THE AIR GOING INTO THEIR LUNGS. YOU MUST LIMIT THEIR OUTSIDE TIME IN TEMPS UNDER 45. Some of ours love to play in the snow, we do allow it, we are just VERY careful to limit the time. As with the heat, the cold can be dangerous to our precious dogs.
We will schedule customer/owner visits for one weekend approximately every other month based on current litter and breeding schedules unless it is for puppy choosing. If you have a puppy here, your puppy choosing and/or visit will be at approximately 5 weeks of age. We will also schedule any other customers that are interested in visiting for that same weekend. This is to help limit the disruption to our dogs and schedules. CLOSED TO VISITORS UNTIL 5/1/14.
Choosing is done in the order we receive your deposit.
Please call or e-mail (contact form on this site) for information. E-mail is the preferred method of contact. We are seldom near the phone and also will not pick it up with unclean dog or puppy hands.
If you would like to be put on the notification list for any of the upcoming litters, please call us or fill out the contact form on this website. We will send you a birth announcement when the babies arrive.
We will announce any pregnancy and birth info here as soon as it is available.
I am trying to get the monthly newsletter going on a more regular basis. If you would like to be on the mailing list for this newsletter or other notifications, please click the mailing list link on the site and give us your e-mail address. It will be sent to you automatically when I update it.
